Dave Rice Speaks on Behalf of AbilITy Connection

On April 23, Centare Group’s Dave Rice spoke to more than 60 Division of Vocational Rehabilitation counselors and college students about the many existing opportunities available to those interested in the field of information technology (IT). Rice’s participation was just one aspect of the AbilITy Connection Spring Forum, an event designed to further advance knowledge and interest in the IT field amongst individuals with disabilities. AbilITy Connection also offers mentoring, internships, scholarships and job placement services for those students with an interest in pursuing IT related careers. Rice serves as the AbilITy Connection’s Recruitment Committee Chair and remains heavily involved with the program.

“AbilITy Connection really makes a difference in these students’ lives,” said Rice. “Sometimes they aren’t aware of the opportunities that exist from them in today’s job market, so I’m happy to help them get started and get excited about the unique possibilities in the IT field.”
