PROFESSIONAL SCRUM FOUNDATIONS

Scrum Teams succeed best with a solid foundation. This two-day course prepares students to begin effectively using Scrum immediately. The Scrum framework, mechanics, and roles of Scrum are emphasized with emphasis on practical application. This course is the perfect introduction to Scrum for anyone new to the framework. Whether your team needs a flawless Scrum launch or needs to reboot a struggling Scrum implementation, this class lays the foundation for an effective Scrum team and is the precursor to more advance Scrum training. more…

PROFESSIONAL SCRUM DEVELOPER

Professional Scrum Developer courses teach students how to use modern software engineering practices to develop an increment of potentially shippable functionality using a specific technology. Students learn to do so within the Scrum framework, working as part of a self-organizing, cross-functional team to do iterative, incremental development. Classes are exercise-driven, with students working in teams to develop “done” increments from product backlog items. Each class is five days long, and classes can be either public or private.  more…

PROFESSIONAL SCRUM MASTER

The Professional Scrum Master course is the first significant update of the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) course that Ken Schwaber first created in 2002. This course covers Scrum basics, including the framework, mechanics, and roles of Scrum. But it also teaches how to use Scrum to optimize value, productivity, and the total cost of ownership of software products. Students learn through instruction and team-based exercises, and they are challenged to think on their feet to better understand what to do when they return to their workplaces. more…

PROFESSIONAL SCRUM PRODUCT OWNER

The Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) program teaches people how to maximize the return on investment (ROI) and optimize the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of products and systems. Agile Product Ownership today requires more than knowledge of how to write a User Story or manage a Product Backlog. Professional Product Owners need to have a concrete understanding of everything that drives value from their products. The PSPO course helps students develop and solidify this understanding – from early stakeholder management to release planning and delivery.  more…

PROFESSIONAL SCRUM EXECUTIVE

The Professional Scrum Executive (PSE) is a Centare exclusive offering. Available in a one or two day format the PSE is a blend of base Scrum knowledge and vocabulary along with higher level concepts such as budgeting, finance, road-mapping, portfolio management and working with human resources. A Scrum team or teams cannot work in isolation. As such the executive leadership will need to provide the vision and guidance on where the business is heading using Agile techniques.

In the one day course, the first half is spent learning the base Scrum framework, while the afternoon is left for budgeting, road-mapping and portfolio management. In the two-day course the first day teaches the base Scrum framework, leaving all of day two open for the higher-level concepts and discussion.

“Centare helps companies transform the way they approach technology, to build better software now and in the future.”
