Centare Group Name to Inc. 5,000 for Third Consecutive Year

8/3/2009

MILWAUKEE, August, 2009 – For the third consecutive year, Inc. has named Centare Group to its Inc. 5,000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the country. Centare Group, a software development and consulting firm headquartered in Brookfield, Wisconsin, is also listed as the 24th fastest-growing private company in the state.

“The Inc. 5000 listing is very important to Centare Group,” said company president, Dave Glyzewski. “We have enjoyed measurable growth and success over the past decade, and national recognition from Inc. further cements our position as Wisconsin’s preferred technology partner.”

Inc. 5,000, an extension of Inc. magazine’s annual Inc. 500 list, recognizes the many businesses that drive the economy. Taken as a whole, the Inc. 5000 list is also an indicator of which segments of U.S. industry, within the private sector, have been prospering over the past three years. According to Inc. the IT Services industry accounts for just over 13 percent of the 5000 companies on the list, suggesting a healthy outlook for the technology services field.

“Savvy trend spotters and those who invest in private companies know that the Inc. 5000 is the best place to find out about young companies that are achieving success through a wide variety of unprecedented business models, as well as older private companies that are still expanding at an impressive rate,” said Inc. 5000 project manager Jim Melloan. “That’s why our list is so eagerly anticipated every year.”

Centare Group specializes in custom software application development and practical technology solutions. Its status as a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and IBM Advanced Business Partner has helped establish the company as a leader in for both Microsoft and IBM products and technologies. The company also leads Southeastern Wisconsin in the integration of Actuate Enterprise Reporting and Performance Management applications. In 2008, Centare Group partnered with Ektron, Inc. a highly regarded company specializing in user interface and content management systems (CMS) for websites.

The 2008 Inc. 5000 list measures revenue growth from 2005 through 2008. To qualify, companies had to be U.S.-based and privately held, independent – not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies – as of December 31, 2008, and have had at least $200,000 in revenue in 2004, and $2 million in 2007. Centare Group is ranked No. 2,850 nationally according to the Inc. 5000. Additional information on this year’s Inc. 5,000, including company profiles, can be found at www.inc.com.
