Chad Albrecht, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Practice Director at Centare Group, spent the evening of Tuesday, February 23 talking to Wisconsin .NET User Group event attendees about Agile and Team Foundation Server (TFS) 2010.
Nearly 100 developers, project managers and business executives gathered at Direct Supply Inc and listened as Albrecht offered his suggestions on how to avoid common pitfalls when transitioning to Agile. Albrecht also addressed how TFS 2010 can successfully be utilized as an Agile platform. He demonstrated some of the effective new features of TFS 2010 as they related to Agile estimation, planning, execution and measurement. Albrecht fielded dozens of questions from the enthused audience, many regarding specifics on Agile estimation as well as TFS process template customization.
“It was a fantastic event with an encouraging turnout,” reflected Albrecht. “I was thankful for the opportunity to talk in detail about Agile and TFS 2010. As those in attendance can attest, I strongly support using Agile methods to develop software. The shorter cycles and iterations are effective in driving immediate software value.
“Through TFS 2010, Agile methods can be utilized to impact business collaboration from start to finish. It’s something we at Centare Group are very familiar with and offer as a service to our clients.”
